SIEGFRIEDS DRACHENPOST

Post by FranzLucien »

Can anybody help me getting the PDFs uploaded?

Dragging and dropping the files results in an error message: "Invalid extension .pdf"!

Hi Dragoniers!

Here are 21 issues of SIEGFRIEDS DRACHENPOST - Number 2 - 22

Unfortunately number 1 is missing.

If anybody has access to that missing issue, I would greatly apreciate to get a copy.

Please send to franz.moersdorf@dream-re.com

thx.

Thank you.

There are some interesting page numbering schemes, September/October 1986 being a prime example (sorry, I couldn't resist).

Unfortunately some of the PDFs have extraneous pages that should be removed. The PDFs in question are the following with the page number being the PDF reported page.

Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1986 03-04 (März-April 1986) - page 4
Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1986 05-06 (Mai-Juni 1986) - pages 22 and 23
Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1987 11-12 (November-Dezember) - page 5
Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1988 05-06 (Mai-Juni) - page 4
Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1988 11-12 (November-Dezember) - page 6

Hi Alastair,

what do you mean by " extraneous pages that should be removed"?

My English is very poor and I do not understand what you want to say.

THX in advance

Sorry about that, I'll try to be clearer in future.

Two examples may help. If you open "Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1986 03-04 (März-April 1986)" and turn to page 4 (as indicated by the PDF reader) you will see pages 50 and 7 of the newsletter on a white background. Pages 7 and 50 of the newsletter show up in their correct places elsewhere in the PDF. Thus page 4 of the PDF should be removed.

Turning to "Siegfrieds Drachenpost 1986 05-06 (Mai-Juni 1986)" you will see something similar on PDF page 22, this time newsletter pages 1111 and 101000 on a white background. PDF page 23 shows two newsletter pages (1101 and an unmarked 1110) at the proper size but they are in the wrong place. All four newsletter pages do show up in their proper places elsewhere in the PDF (PDF pages 6, 7, and 20), so again PDF pages 22 and 23 should be removed.

The above holds true for the remaining PDF pages I mentioned, two shrunken newsletter pages on a white background, the two newsletter pages appearing elsewhere in the PDF in their proper places.

Thank you - now I got your point.

The thing is that I the originals are on DIN A 5 each displayed page size, but 4 pages printed on DIN A 4 papers.

Therefore the colors are irritating when the right order of pages is scanned, spearetd into two different pictures, put into a ppt.format and that after all the wohle bunch of pages converted into PDF.

Did I explain this well?

Sorry again for my poor English.

If you wish I can send you photos of one magazine, that may explain better that problem.

Please advise and hopefully this is satisfying then.

Take care

Franz, it's not the colour that is the problem. The problem is that some of the newsletter pages are duplicated within the PDF. If you delete the PDF pages I mentioned above then the problem will be fixed.

Now I understand what you wanted to say with "removed".

WIll do so!

Sorry - but I did the whole scan over night alone and my own qualitiy control obviuosly was not perfect.

Will reload the the whole set of magazines.

Thank you for being so diligent and patient.
