Hi Folks,
my name is Fabian, i'm from Germany and at the moment i'm designing a clone for the 2x4K Cartridge for the Dragon 32.
What do you think about this idea?
I will post a screenshot of the progress tonight.
Let me hear your feedback about this idea.

2x4K Cartridge Clone in progress
Re: 2x4K Cartridge Clone in progress
Hi Fabian!
Welcome to the Dragon Archive!
Regarding the cartridge, I think it would be nice if you have a damaged original cartridge. Are you designing it for use with standard 2732/2764 eproms?
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks!Hi Fabian!

Yes, it would be a good substitute for damaged cartridges.Regarding the cartridge, I think it would be nice if you have a damaged original cartridge. Are you designing it for use with standard 2732/2764 eproms?
I'm designing it with the 2732/2764 EPROMS, just like the original.
BTW, I will need some testers for the PCB, as I don't have any chance to get a Dragon at the moment.
Just drop a PM if you are interested.

Nice!
I'll gladly test your board, as I have a couple of Dragons and equipment for burning eprom chips.
Also, please note that the original cartridges used 2532 chips which are NOT pin compatible with the 2732 (I learned that the hard way...).
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks! I corrected some traces afterwards, because they looked so ugly.Nice!
Great! Maybe you can find some more people (e.g. forums, groups) who want to test the board?I'll gladly test your board, as I have a couple of Dragons and equipment for burning eprom chips.
I will do some prototypes (handmade PCB ), and then i can send one to you!
Just send me a PM.
Didn't know that before! Thanks for this advice! Also, please note that the original cartridges used 2532 chips which are NOT pin compatible with the 2732 (I learned that the hard way...).

Hallo Fabian!
I'll be sending you a PM later today.
Cheers,

Sure! I have several friends that are Dragon users, and we can meet to test the board thoroughly.Great! Maybe you can find some more people (e.g. forums, groups) who want to test the board?
I've found an annotated image comparing the two chips. Fortunately they're not that different, but you cannot swap them because either the chips are destroyed or you can cause any other problem to the computer.Didn't know that before! Thanks for this advice!
I'll be sending you a PM later today.

Rob
