DRS (Data Retrieval System) by Salamander

Post by pser1 »

Hello,
I bought some time ago this tape and manual, but got dissappointed when I saw that the tape had the name BBC written instead of Dragon, so I put it on the shelves.
Today I have reviewed it and converted the tape into a WAV.
It has given I/O Error so many times that I really believed that this was not intended for the Dragon.
After some changes in the adjustements on both Audacity and the tape recorder, it has loaded on XRoar and also on Dragon64.
So I am attaching here a zip file with some different formats of the program so that it could be preserved in our archive.
A pdf with the manual is also included and a scan image of the cassette, it has no program name and you will see BBC on it.

best regards
Pere

Thanks Pere!

I'll upload it to the download section in the following days.

One question. Do you have the original disk or did you convert it from the tape version?

Hello,
I only own the original tape (I attached the image). So the [!] is not correct for the VDK
Salamander explains in the manual how to save it to disk if you have a controller, so I did it because it's easier and faster to load in a real Dragon.
