Tandy Multipak and the Dragon

Post by MaestroSoftware »

I read on this forum that the original Tandy Multipak is compatible with the Dragon (I know Pere's DosPlusExtender supports it). I also read that Coco3-modified Multipaks are not compatible with the Dragon. Is that true? Why?

Thanks

Hi Philippe,
I hope someone with better/more accurate information could give you the correct answer.
For what I have heard about the MPI update for the CoCo3, it is done to avoid conflicts with some CoCo3 internally used addresses
But concerning our Dragons, I think the problem should not happen ...
I just can speak about the std MPI for the CoCo2, this is the one I have connected in the past to my D64
Currently I prefer the smaller mini-MPI by Ed Snider and in case you need 4 slots, then his mega-mini-MPI will leave you a lot of free space
on your workarea ...
cheers!
