PSPDragon on PS Vita question

Post by Praed0r »

Hi,

I've just tried PSPDragon on my Vita (used it for ages on my PSP), it sort of works. can only load games from disk images that do not require a soft reset and from savestates. Cloadm just hangs although cload works fine for basic programs. I had none of these issues on my PSP - anyone have any ideas, I have a psptoolchain setup on my laptop so I can make changes to the PSPDragon source and re-compile if needed, just don't know where to start.

Looks like there was always a problem with tape loading in PSPDragon - subsequent versions removed the functionality entirely. But the version of XRoar it was built on had no specific problems, so I don't know why it would have failed, especially if other file access worked. I've created a series of patches here:

http://www.6809.org.uk/tmp/pspdragon/

The first one re-adds tape support, the seconds converts the tape reading routines to just use stdio. The others are a couple of slight optimisations from XRoar's commit log adapted to this old code base.

All completely untested - I don't have a PSP or the dev kit handy. Worth a go though!

These are all against PSPDragon 1.0.3:

Thanks sixxie,

Will have a look at these diffs and try to get this working on PSP - might even help with some sound issues - sound works OK on PSP but not on Vita

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but the issue I had with sound on the Vita has been resolved with the latest custom f/w and exploit on the Vita - so Chuckie Roars again !!!!
