I notice from the scan of that modem board that one of the glue logic chips isn't even soldered onto the board - looks like it may need a little more work to bring it back to life than just a ROM.

I managed to get some nice Beta board picture from the pictures I got from Richard Harding.
I'll see if I can stitch a nice picture of the populated beta board.
