ok, cool - so when we started this there was a plan that perhaps with the dump we would be able to learn something about the program - how to work it, is that still possible?

All of the ROM dumps are available from the Uploads section if you want to set-up XROAR on your PC. There is also an old (Oct 14th, 2012) unzip-and-go copy of XROAR here.

nope - no hot keys in the package.
it is a simple serial modem to modem comm package, plus the ability to use viewdata which was a common standard UK-wise at the time.

Apologies for digging up an old topic, but this combination of ROM, serial cartridge, and modem will soon be emulated in MAME, and can fully access the online Viewdata system Telstar!
