Yeah, I have a standalone Flashfloppy unit from Zaxon too, and I've used it with the Dragon. I've used 3.5" and 5.25" drives as well.
I gave in and added a column for HxC / Flashfloppy / Gotek units but seeing as you need a Dos Cart anyway, for most people it'll be 'Well, where do I get a Dos Cart then?'. And at that point, they look at other options!

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Hi, not popped in here for a while, but I’ve not forgotten my Dragon!
Has anybody tried the Maxduino digital tape device on the dragon?
I know it’s not fast, but I wanted a solution that I can share with my Spectrum and that doesn’t use its edge connector, so this seemed to fit the Bill nicely.

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Does the Dragon MMC come with a case ever, or will I have to make one from Lego?
Is there an equivalent for the Dragon of the Stairway to Hell for the BBC?
Also, where are they for sale, and how much do they cost?

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
I've uploaded the source for the DragonMMC firmware to my github repository here :
https://github.com/prime6809/DragonMMC
There is a folder with the FreeCAD source and generated STL files that will allow you to 3d print a case.

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Phill, when reading the 'Dragon MMC FW Update Instructions v1.1.txt' the only file that I can locate on git is the DGNMMC.BIN for AVR firmware update; but for the other steps; were would I find the utils and fw's?prime wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 6:16 pm I've uploaded the source for the DragonMMC firmware to my github repository here :

Note some releases only update parts of the system if they didn't change from the previous version.
Cheers.
