And indeed the MPI manual says that switching the slot and pressing the reset button is a way to make it happen. So looks like soft reset does also do that.
I think I'll keep the code I just added to distinguish hard & soft resets for cartridges, but looks like it won't be used in this case

All of the downloads are not working, so if you could fix those that'd be great.

Re: XRoar 1.0 released
Hello Ciaran,
I have just downloaded XRoar 1.0.5 and I am having some trouble using it.
Till v1.04 I could use Ctrl+1 to mount an VDK to drive 1 and then issuing DIR I could see the contents
Now after mounting the disk the keyboard doesn't work properly.
A lot of keys do not produce anything on screen but pressing L opens the FileLoad and pressing R restarts XRoar
Q quits XRoar and M enables/disables the Windows menu ... What has changed the old behaviour?
If I use the mouse and do mount the VDK using the Windows file menu, everything works fine, but using keyboard shortcuts
was very helpful!
will read the new pdf for maybe I have not seen the changes done ...
cheers

Re: XRoar 1.0 released
Erk that's not good. Under Wine I see no issues.
But the new uploads are linked against a newer version of SDL, which is probably what's causing the problem. I'll see if I can back that up a bit for the next bugfix release.

Re: XRoar 1.0 released
So yes, linking with an older build of libSDL2 fixes that - 1.0.6 now out!
Wonder what change caused it - maybe I'll 'bisect' SDL and find out...

Re: XRoar 1.0 released
Thanks Ciaran, 1.0.6 seems to work properly.
Re: XRoar 1.0 released
Except that seemingly everyone running Windows 11 is only getting a black screen. sigh
