PSE Computers disk controller

Found a few of these bare PCBs while digging around:

I think the disk controller I used to use was one of these and it had a Dragon DOS ROM but I can remember very little else about these.

I created the wiki page, and added your pictures.

My guess is that you used it with a DragonDOS or compatible rom, am I right?

Thanks for the pictures!

Yes - I have an assembled one with a switch that flicks the rom between DragonDOS and SuperDOS. I have not looked to see if the switch is a factory option or not but I have seen it on more than one of these.

That's nice to know!

Does your controller have two roms and a switch, or just a single chip?

So these were sold as kits at the time?

I'd forgotten about that switch. The board took a 16K ROM and the switch selected between two images. It was a feature of the board rather than a hack. I used it with Dragon DOS 1, 4 & SuperDOS E6.

My board came fully assembled. I got some bare PCBs as well but can't remember how or why :-)

I'll add a photo of the assembled board when I find it.
