Posting issues

Post by sixxie »

Submitting any reply seems to generate a big error page at the moment. The posts go through though.

Also, I can't actually see Giranda's last post in topic 11061 unless I append &start=2 to offset page 1 of the results. Before I replied, it cut off at the message above and didn't show that there should be a page 2. Now there is a page 2, but it only has my reply!

Edit: &start=9 seems to start with the post in question. I wonder if some post within the first 10 was "deleted", but the page counting doesn't account for that? Clutching at straws, never looked at phpbb.

I had a similar error last week and notified Simon about it:

I see the same problem.

Edit. There were no error messages when I posted the above reply.

It sounds that the primary key is not unique, maybe because of full table and to low entropy?

Code: Select all

Duplicate entry '6691-10883' for key 'PRIMARY'

I have a different issue. For the last few days whenever I submit a post the post goes through but instead of being redirected back to the thread I get a blank page instead.

Yep, I got the same yesterday.

Edit 1:(Today too…)
Edit 2:(But not when editing a post…)
Edit 3:(when you reload the forum after posting, your own post appears as unread.)

All,

I am aware of the issue. Looking back through all the change logs it appears to be a change in the PHP version by the hosts that has caused this issue. Its not a known or documented issue with phpBB but I will schedule an update to phpBB to see if it resolves this... Until then, please continue to suffer !!
