Re: Hello everybody
You'll get in into D64 mode by typing EXEC just after startup. The cursor should then change colour to blue. The D64 supplementary documentation can be found in the forum's Upload section. No, you cannot use OS-9 or FLEX without a disketter drive (or something that looks like a disk drive to the D64...

Re: Time to move on
Rolf - If you want me to add your username to the administrators groups then let me know and I will do so. Feel free as long as you are comfortable with it. I'll start peeking around a bit. We should have an email conversation after a while to ensure that no admin tasks are forgotten in the process...

Re: Time to move on
Simon, I'm sorry to hear that you find it necessary to step down and leave your achievements behind. I'm also happy to see people who can actually make the right choices and prioritize when necessary. I'm willing to do whatever I can to keep the site running. I have some experience in running this k...

Re: Alldream and Dos Dream ...
Haven't tried this version of Dream myself, but the DskDream manual might be relevant. DskDream offers some useful features over the standard cassette-based Dream suite. I uploaded the manual to the Uploads forum on August 23, 2009. You will find it there.

Dumping disks to VDK and xroar bug
I just wrote this program that others might find useful. I wanted to dump all my Dragon diskettes to one of the virtual diskette formats supported by the emulators while my Dragon still runs and the diskettes are still readable. The program reads a Dragon diskette sector by sector and dumps it in th...

Re: XRoar & "Speed Racer" & "Athletyx"
Speed Racer gets as far as the loading screen (the drawing of the computer) but goes no further. Do you get the title sequence to display on the drawing of the computer? When the title sequence is done, you can select track by moving the joystick and/or pressing the arrow keys. This isn't entirely ...

Re: Homebrew?
If its cartridges how do you go about getting them for recycling? A search of ebay.co.uk doesn't show many Dragon cartridges up in the last couple of weeks. Dragon ROM cartridges are pretty simple things. The ones that I have seen just contains a standard 2764 8k EPROM and some address decoding log...

Re: Modern storage options?
The OS9 System Programmer's Manual is also a good source of information. It has a relatively large section on writing block device drivers, and it is available from the download section of this site.

Re: Manual request for Module Man
Module Man was indeed released on disk, and I can volunteer the instructions for the disk version. Pretty brief stuff... As far as I remember, the only instructions were those provided on the disk label.
