Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Enjoy! I already converted 30 dragon vdk floppies to rs-dos I am making a new Dragon distro with all dragon goodies: moon cresta, chucki egg and more. + nitros and an inedit OS-9 version 2.00 (the phoenix!) for compatibility with InterBank, Mickey, Donald, etc. But I need to wait my new cf card read...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Hmmm, Try renaming the AUTOEXEC.BAS which is in Coco tokenized format just to make sure that is not and invalid basic program that is crasing.

Also, remove the CF and boot without it to see what happens.

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Dumb question, did you set the DIP switches before inserting on Dragon ?

For bank 0 the dip switch must be: 1: UP 2: DOWN 3: DOWN

If so, then what is your SuperIDE base address ? Did you change it ?

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

I compared your files and I found several differences from my version. It should be built as: make hdblbadgn.rom which gives: lwasm -r --pragma=condundefzero,nodollarlocal,noindex0tonone -DIDE -DUSELBA -DLevel=1 -DDRAGON ../cocoroms/ecb_equates.asm ../cocoroms/dragon_equivs.asm hdbdos.asm -ohdblbadg...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Let me ask: You rebuild it yourself ? If so you need to include your superIDE configs on it: * IDE Hardware Offsets DATAADDR equ $FF50 ... HDBHI fcb $05 HDB-DOS Offset hi-byte HDBLO fdb $2ddc HDB-DOS Offset lo-word Otherwise it will hang, not find a disk, etc. Look my previous posts, I attached my h...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Yup, I'm actually doing it, I changed the DragonDosTool to add me the preamble/postamble for binary files and I add them to a dsk using toolshed's decb (actually DragonDos already writes me a batch file to add all the extracted files at once) and they are working fine. Except for some games that use...

Last batch of SuperIDEs. Who would buy one ?

Hi, Dunno if all know but the superIDE (which now runs on Dragon/Tano using native Dragon roms) is a retired product since Cloud-9 is developing their next-gen device. Which won't be Dragon compatible from day 0. So I'm trying to convince him to do the last batch and he asked me to find out how big ...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

Also, this is kinda strange because you cannot use dragondos disk on it, you should use rsdos disks with rsdos binary files. So it will be needed a converter to extract the binaries from .vdks and put then inside .dsks. Then they can be inserted into the superIde or read through DW. Basic files from...

Re: HDB-DOS for Dragon 32 and 64/Tano

will create an HDB-DOS version for using SuperIDE that can be burned to a ROM cartridge (running at $C000). Actually for use with SuperIDE you will use the provided FLASH.BAS/FLASH.BIN (they come on stock clould9 CF) on a real coco to burn one of the flash banks. I use bank 0 for Dragon and leave t...

Re: Moving to Dragon world

Here is the rom I've been using. You need to flash the superIDE using a coco (or a dragon-coco). The flash utility should be on the disk 250. I included the disk as well.
