Re: Hi from Barcelona
Hello and welcome David!
It is not always busy here, but it's a lot better than facebook for ensuring resources and discussions stick around and are retrievable. Some of the older discussion threads I found absolutely fascinating when I joined here at first!
Kind regards,
Mike

Re: Dragon power board problems!
Well, the TO-3 LM309 replacements arrived. IMG_20200611_170548.jpg and I (with some trepidation) took the de-soldering iron and braid to the power board on my workhorse D64. IMG_20200623_205857.jpg Actually, I probably didn't need to desolder the main through heatsink GND bolts, they could simply ha...

Use the expansion port to host VDG character ROM? In short, not a chance.

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Yeah, I have a standalone Flashfloppy unit from Zaxon too, and I've used it with the Dragon. I've used 3.5" and 5.25" drives as well. I gave in and added a column for HxC / Flashfloppy / Gotek units but seeing as you need a Dos Cart anyway, for most people it'll be 'Well, where do I get a Dos Cart t...

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
I've added in a generic Drivewire option (uDW or PC server) now.
Gotek or Flashfloppy standalone I'm a bit cautious about adding in.

Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Interesting Stew - so have you added a ear and remote socket, and made the uDW play out the cassette loadable Drivewire dweeb?
I might try to add in a drivewire column.

Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
Phil H-S suggested a comparison between the various mass storage options available for the Dragon would be worthwhile. so I've created one.

Re: MAME Emulation - 80 track double sided
Compiled mame 0220 the other week. Still appears to be a problem with Soren's OS9 double sided disk booting, which works fine on a real machine, on Xroar, on multiple drive emulation mass storage solutions.
Something is definitely wrong with Mame's floppy subsystem for Dragon 32/64 machines.

Re: Dragon power board problems!
Interesting measurements Stew! I assume those were all bare-machine, no disk interface and on factory original 4700uFs?
