Re: Comparison of Dragon mass storage options
I've uploaded the source for the DragonMMC firmware to my github repository here : https://github.com/prime6809/DragonMMC Phill, when reading the 'Dragon MMC FW Update Instructions v1.1.txt' the only file that I can locate on git is the DGNMMC.BIN for AVR firmware update; but for the other steps; w...

Re: Dragon Quicks
Cheers all that seems to be helpfull.
I have found that adding -timeout 30 is handy for games like "Screaming Abdabs" that don't turn off the tape once they finish loading!
Cheers.

Dragon Quicks
Hi all,
Is there a version of the Dragon quickstart archive that contains the same content as the Android phone / wav archive but in *CAS* format. This would be idela for DragonMMC as it can fastload CAS files.
Failing that is there an automated way to convert WAV->CAS?
Cheers.

Re: Dragon to CoCo
To clarify on DragonMMC : On the Dragon (or DraCo in Dragon mode). Load Dragon basic file however you want to load it (From real tape, cas file, disk file etc). Convert from Dragon to CoCo Tokens : MRETOKC Save the converted basic program direct to the SD card : MSAVE"filename" The move the DragonMM...

Re: DRAM data retention time
I keep wondering about using SRAM for a memory upgrade after all 512K RAMs can be had pretty cheap nowadays, and you don't have the problem with refresh. However you would have to demux the Z0..Z7 lines from the SAM, and cope with the fact that the Dragon & CoCo designs rely on the fact that general...

OS9
Hi all, Was the disk with the modules that would allow a custom OS-9 install ever released? What I'm looking to do is build a custom OS-9 boot disk with some updated / changed modules (specifically disk and clock). Yes I know about Nitros9, but I'd also like to backport my work to "official" Dragon ...

Re: Dragon Beta
Are both CPU's really running code from the ROM at the same time? Wouldn't that cause conflicts on the data bus? Is CPU#1 ever HALTed? The current code has a comment saying FIRQ goes to both processors, confirmed by your notes, but the old working emulation never seemed to do this. I'll see if I ca...
