Re: DRAM data retention time
And here it is working happily on a D64. A little fiddlier - socketing the RAM was a bit of a nightmare, as the tiniest bit of solder left on the component side would mean torn pads and traces when I tried to the remove the chip (so there's a few bodge wires on the underside!). But it's sitting ther...

Re: A DOSPlus Extender for Drivewire & CoCo-SDC
I didn't quite get it : do you have BOTH a Race Expansion Cage and a Multipak, or just the Race? If it's the former, I'm getting really jealous. Hi Philippe - I hate to make you jealous, but yes, I do have both! I will admit, I picked up the Race as a curiosity - it popped up on eBay a few years ba...

Re: A DOSPlus Extender for Drivewire & CoCo-SDC
Pere, you wondered if you are the only Dragon user with physical floppies, a CocoSDC and a MultiPak. <snip> Well, I'll give it a try... and I might be the only Dragon user with physical floppies, a CocoSDC, and a Race Expansion Board. Ha, I don't what to be 'that guy', but I have both systems set u...

Re: DRAM data retention time
Great stuff guys! I'm back playing with Fuzix again, which means I've got Tormod's 512K MOOH card plugged into my machine. Having an internal memory upgrade would (I presume) free up my cartridge port again, which would be really useful. Would either of these upgrades use banking in a similar style ...

Re: Problems with DOS using an Y-type connection
Just caught up on this thread - great detective work everyone! As I'm sure you're all well aware, I've had all manner of 'fun' with my over-expanded franken-dragons, and it's wonderful to hear there's a potential solution to my woes. Looking forward to getting hold of one of your boards, John!

Re: Dragon Beta
Interesting! I think this is also how the Fairlight CMI works (the big 80's sampler beloved of The Art of Noise, and a zillion others). That has dual 6809s, and it was described to me (some 35 years ago) that the two processors both see the same memory, and somehow work in tandem to double the speed...

Re: Dragon memory map
I can confirm 99.8% that they're the same (maybe there's a tiny difference I'm not aware of? I have some nagging memory that some Cocos have 12v and some don't on the cart port). But I know that a Coco cart game works when put in a Dragon, and the CocoSDC floppy emulator works in both.

Re: Dragon Meetup 2020 is go!
With much sadness, I can't see this July's Meetup going ahead. For me, a large part of this event is the social aspect. It's great to meet you all, to poke your machines, to go to the pub after with like minded people and spend the day and evening talking Dragons. I don't want to cancel, I would muc...

Re: Dragon power board problems!
Though I believe one of Tony's upgraded D32s has my D64 serial upgrade board in it so that shouldn't be a problem, as this makes sure the PIA is only accessed $FF00-03 and the ACIA $FF04-07. Yes, I should have mentioned this! So my D32 is almost a D64, except for the ROMs. I did have this problem w...
