Re: MAME - Dragon 200-E
Finally, I think I'm done with the external character ROM board:
On the original board I see LK1 controls the INV input. Is INV not software selectable like on other models?- Fri Apr 10, 2020 3:11 pm

Re: MAME Emulation
I know that there is a chance you will be adding support for the the V9958 on the Dragons (using the Wordpak2+ module) Once we have the MPI, we could install the FDC, WP2+ and PSG to get a powerful Dragon-MSX2+ computer. The Wordpak2+ is already in my development build, but not quite ready for rele...

Re: MAME Emulation
If it is mandatory to use tape files, I would rather prefer to wait for the MultiPack to be implemented so that we could have at the same time the FDC and the PSG as on my actual setup ... I'll try to get the MultiPak in for the next release. The reason it's not currently available to Dragon machin...

Re: MAME Emulation
When I bought that module from him, I erased the flash so that it simply gets connected and then I can use the hardware using my own programs on my Dragon 64 Another chance could be avoiding the module to autostart ... first time I put a bit of tape to do so but maybe there is a soft way to do the ...

Re: MAME Emulation
If anyone wants to use the new CoCo PSG cartridge emulation that was introduced in MAME 0.220 then you'll need the firmware that's attached. Just place the zip in your mame/roms folder.

Re: Dragon Beta OS-9 disks
I remember seeing some schematics for the keyboard and floppy sections, but can't find them anywhere. See http://www.dragondata.co.uk/tech/circuit-diag/beta/index.html (You have to click on the pictures, and not on the text links.) Thanks, just couldn't remember where I'd seen them. I presume no ot...

Re: Dragon Beta OS-9 disks
The banking prolly is more complicated than it needs to be, I was kinda learning by example from other drivers so pretty much winging it :) I've modernised most of the driver which has simplified the code by removing ~400 lines, but am still struggling to get the thing to boot :( Both CPU's hit a S...

Re: Dragon Beta OS-9 disks
These can be loaded into the HxC software and processed into other formats. Cheers. Phill. Thanks, at least I can now rule out any mis-interpretation of the floppy format. Are all discs bootable? Took another look at the driver last night, the implementation of the memory banking looks overly compl...

Re: Using the Wordpak2+ on the Dragon
Thanks, I've implemented that WordPak2+ but annoyingly I now need to modify the CoCo Multi-Pak for use with the Dragon so that I can also insert a DOS cartridge. Not a problem, just won't make it in time for the release in a few days.
