Re: DIY-Project for USB/SD/Floppy connection

Hi Snocksman.

There are a few options.

This is a nice one for self build...

DREAM Editor Assembler (tape) manual

After a request on the Dragon FB group from Kataja Kirjuri, I've made a scan of the original DREAM Editor Assembler manual as supplied with the tape version.

One plain PDF, and one searchable (much larger PDF) attached here in a zip file.

Re: SAM replacement - nearly there

Nice reductive action. Fingers crossed for glitch de-glitch.

Is that 98 with a stu-banker integrated?

Re: SAM replacement - nearly there

My thoughts were making it do something gime or 6829-y with an external sram and a latch / transceiver. Then you could meet your "it's still a dragon" test but do nice os9 level 2-y stuff. Essentially a modern integrated version of the Bob Hall MMUs. However, it sounds like space is probably at too ...

Re: SAM replacement - nearly there

That's super cool.

Really hope the density option pulls back a load of macrocells, as some headroom on this design would open up some amazing possibilities.

Re: OS9 User Group Disks

Oh, interesting... One issue of Dragon Update in the summer of 1990 refers to Newsdisk 23... and lo... on there, there's a debugged (hopefully) initial draft of the complete design article for Bob Hall's CoCo3 compatible Dragon MMU board... and all the OS9 L2 modifications to run it.

The CoCo Discord server

Quite a lot of people these days are less than enamoured with Facebook, and with much day-to-day Dragon discussion going on on the Facebook Dragon users group, that can leave people 'out of the loop'. An alternative forum for real-time discussion with sensible sub-sections and a good community of kn...

Re: Home Computer Museum Helmond Dragon 64 archived disks

And the Dragon 64 also had a 'mystery mod'. A twisted pair emerging from a little hole next to the cartridge port, going to a female header plug... I didn't get in to opening hardware, so what this little 'switch, if you plug one in' was doing is a mystery. One for next time.

Re: Home Computer Museum Helmond Dragon 64 archived disks

A little blurb to accompany this archive. Very interesting set of disks... the Dragon 64 in question was obviously heavily used under DragonDOS, OS9 and Flex for document preparation, graphics and entertainment. The twin DragonData disk drive unit had two replacement 80 track double sided drives fit...
