Re: Serial Numbers

It was more luck than judgement. I had a d32 & d64 in the 80's, but the others were acquired in the 90's when people were pretty much giving the things away.

Sprite editor

Last but not least we have the pixel editing software I created to design the graphics for my games.

It was also quite handy for browsing through memory to look at the graphics in other people's games :)

This looks really good. I used to spend a lot of time playing a version of this :)

Cheers!

Ball Dozer

Also included is the clone kit we used to make copies of the game for sale, plus a plain binary. I was able to salvage a small amount of source code from backup tapes. It shows the misery ...

Re: Cross-compatible USR calls?

One obstacle is the D32 ROM defaults to USR0 if the character immediately following USR is not a digit. For example: A=USR 1(0) This code is valid syntax on both platforms, but the D32 will treat it as USR0. This is of course fine if only USR0 is defined. (And possibly what you've seen working before)

Though rather amusingly the code to detect a d64 isn't quite right :)

Re: Dragon User Programs

I quickly transcribed the article and the - incredibly bug-ridden - character editor listing crikey you type faster than I can read ;) heh the character editor could certainly use some tlc. The end of the program seems to have been lost by Dragon User, could just be a missing RETURN statement, but ...
