Dragon PSU Board Comparison Document

A few of you have been aware that I have performed some comparison testing (with the help of Phill), between the DragonPlus PSU board and Ant's MP1584-based one. I have compiled all test results, background, principles and conclusions into one document. It has been written to be objective, and not u...

Re: Serial Numbers

Ooh, another Dragon 200E? I seem to remember the last one being somewhere in the region of €1000. How much was this one?

Probably ought to have a seperate section for 200Es in my opinion.

I'm 22 14-pin sockets away of having all sockets installed...
Keep going - sorry I've not been looking in enough. Feel free to email me any questions if I don't reply on here, as am keen to see more of these running! ;)

Re: Dragon Beta GitHub

robcfg wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 5:17 pm I have a small question about R34 and R35.

Being 0R I guess they are just links, right?

Do I need to connect both? On the populated Beta board picture here, I can see R35 installed, but not R34.
R35 is 0R (or wire link)
R34 is left open.

Re: Dragon Beta GitHub

I'm half way through the Beta board soldering, and would like to know if I can use 4164 ram chips instead of the MK4564N ones. Yes - I used KM4164 chips originally, although I swapped them out for Phill's modern memory boards afterwards. Oh, how do I order the tree expansion connector in the middle...

SuperBoB and JCBSS Module

Here you can see me continuing to test the SuperBoB board. The additional boxes in the case are a logic analyser and a CPLD programmer. The connection to the PSU board is just a convenient ground for the logic analyser. Alongside testing the SuperBoB, some of you will no doubt have seen my postings ...

J.C.B. Microsystems

I made contact with John Botibol last night, creator of the JCB Microsystems Speech Synthesiser. He is doing well, living in France and nearing the big 7-0. He's not worked with home computers since 1984, when he went into professional IT. Unfortunately he doesn't have any of the details of his work...

In case anyone is trying to access DragonPlus Electronics for support documentation etc, I just wanted to let you know that I am in the process of moving from self-hosting the website @AWS to using managed hosting @Wordpress.com. Everything is moved across, but the domain name is taking ages to acti...

DragonPlus Website Issues

My humble apologies if anyone has been looking to buy anything from DragonPlus Electronics for the past 10 or so days. It seems that a recent WooCommerce update had screwed up a few plugins, and I simply hadn't noticed. Many thanks to Julian for letting me know and giving me the opportunity to fix t...
