Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
Lol. So that was the fault all along then. Or featurette. Or technical debt. Or just plain balls-up by Eurohard or moi! Connecting the /FS pins together removes the need for the jumper wire. I wonder whether the original design was purely to account for difficult routing? We will never know. 2025102...

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
OK - so examining the KiCad, it seems that /FS on the 6847 is not connected to /FS on the header. Hence the link connects the /FSs back together again essentially via /MS on the motherboard. It is either a mistake I have made and a mistake on the original D200E board which I have just copied across....

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
Thinking about it, it doesn't really make sense, as the SuperRGB board is working alone without the link on it! I need to investigate more. Ah, mind you, SuperRGB is probably doing it's own stuff with FS.

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
When I redo the boards, I will likely just add another jumper to either open or close the pin 12 to 37 bridge.

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
I got the new boards back from James a few days ago, and fitted the remaining components. Sadly they didn't work at first, but it was seemingly the missing /MS to /FS signal. Connecting that back on, and we are in business in this D64. The lower case board is sitting in the 6847 socket, with a Super...

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
Candidate 2. 58.34mm x 38.74mm.
If I go ahead with these, they will be pre-assembled - apart from any headers and the DIP socket.

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
A possible new version of the lower case board. Minimised probably as much as I can - now down to 50.08 x 55.37mm.

Re: Dragon 200E Lower Case Daughterboard ROM question
Quick resurrection on this topic - suggestion is to just connect pin 37 of 6847 (FS) to pin 9 of the HCT161? Obviously still connect MS on motherboard to MS on 6847 - but do NOT connect MS to FS on the daughterboard?
