Re: Project 2

The hi score table looks great, and I don't even need to add the qualifier 'for the Dragon'! It definitely captures the arcade feel :D

Re: XRoar 1.0 released

Sorry for drip feeding you bits of info. I should have said I tried -machine-cart on the command line.

So in my case:

-machine-cart on the command line does not work with -run
machine-cart in .conf also does not work with -run on the command line
but
-cart on the command line *does* work with -run

Re: XRoar 1.0 released

I've just noticed that specifying both cart and binary on the command line doesn't work either. The loading of the cart is suppressed by the presence of the binary. The only workaround I've found is to put nothing on the command line and load the file from within xroar.

Re: XRoar 1.0 released

May or may not be related but I can also report a change in behaviour in the new version: Specifying a binary to run on the command line now prevents loading of the cartridge defined in xroar.conf This affects both d32 and d64. (Debian 11 / XFCE / amd64) #lp-file print.txt kbd-translate gdb tape-ao-...

Re: Why are MK II Power Boards obsolete?

I think I understand now: The three board types are mentioned in the archive here These are the various versions we know about: - MK1 boards with a UM1286. Photos in the archive show they go up to at least issue 4 - MK2 boards with a UM1233. These have been seen up to issue 6 / 7 - MK3 boards with a...

Re: Why are MK II Power Boards obsolete?

The power supply side of things looks like the usual circuit. I wonder if the problem with 'MKII' boards was to do with the separate audio subcarrier circuit.

I'm also wondering what a 'MKIII' looks like.

Re: Dragon Meetup - it's not long now!

Is there a official web page about this? It is not a virtual meetup, isn't it? It's a real event here: http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/66212/Dragon-Meetup-27th-28th-November/ The CoCoTalk people were considering either a live stream or a recording of the event. Not sure if anything has been ...

Re: New Leodensian member

Welcome to the archive!

It might be a bit of a trek from Leeds, but a few of us Dragon owners will be meeting up at the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge on the 27th - 28th November. I imagine there will be some examples of modern add-ons to have a look at :)

Hmm, yeah, backpedalling slightly, I thought the version posted here was officially licensed. The trademarks are being used with permission, so kind of official.
