Re: A next-generation Dragon?

Peter's review of the new ZX Spectrum Next –- if you have an hour to spare, watch this video! Obviously, a lot of time and effort was put into this project. As one viewer summarized it: “Don't need it, can't justify it, can't really afford it... but boy, I've gotta have one of these!“ ...now imagin...

Re: A next-generation Dragon?

Suppose we take it one step further and create the ultimate next-generation Dragon –- taking the best parts out of every 8-bit platform there is and adding new ideas of our own –- at what point does this machine becomes 'something else' and not a Dragon family member? What are the basic properties a...

Re: A next-generation Dragon?

Good points everyone, I agree with you all. unumlapis -- this is exactly what I was thinking! snarkhunter –- I'm quite certain that every retro-product that's being sold to the public today is using emulation (consoles like Sega, PS1, NES, etc. and of course TheC64 and Spectrum Next), so there's rea...

A next-generation Dragon?

I've been following some very nice retro-computing projects over the years, like the many Amiga next-generation platforms (AmigaOne, MIST, R-Pi, etc.), TheC64 and the new ZX Spectrum Next. This got me thinking... What would it take to have a brand new 'Dragon II' breathing fire again in the wild? Wh...

Re: 4:3 Monitors which support Composite video

Until you test one of those Beetronics yourself, you wouldn't know how good the internal video scaler really is or how bad the input lag is. You don't want to spend over £300 and then realize it's not what you expected... The industry is moving forward and doesn't care for us retro-junkies, and sinc...

Re: Retro Man Cave -- Dragon 32 Trash to Treasure

And finally, Part 3 . I enjoyed this short series -- Neil does a wonderful job in his videos -- but I'm a bit let down by the lack of coverage of AAA software and games. Even for BASIC games, he could have easily found better examples... What do you think? What are the five/ten must-haves for the Dr...

Tandy Deluxe Joystick Adapter?

Hi everyone,

Came across a pair of Tandy Deluxe Joysticks that are up for sale locally.
They're DIN-6. Is there an adapter available for the Dragon? A DIY hack perhaps?

Thanks!
