Re: Will my Dragon still work in 30 years?
I have my doubts about capacitors lasting 60 years.

Re: Selling a Dragon 200
Well, he wanted more than I set for a limit on the deal so I passed on it. A couple months ago I wouldn't have hesitated because it was close, but I decided to save up for an RV a couple weeks ago and now I really can't justify spending that much. I have to admit, the 200 is a lot better looking tha...

Re: Selling a Dragon 200
He finally replied to my email... after 4 months.
I sent back an email, if it takes too long to reply I'm not even going to make an offer.
I would suggest if you make a deal with the guy that you be able to pick it up in person.
I'm in the U.S.A. so I don't have a choice.

Re: Anyone used RainbowIDE?
I don't think it would be difficult for the author to call a program to build a Dragon disk image. The image building programs are all external and it's just a multiple choice drop down box to pick which one. I've built a few things with Rainbow IDE and I do own a license... but it has some annoying...

Re: Does the Dragon support the "extended" VDP?
All CoCos do have a latch, it's just internal on the newer 6847 vs external on older CoCos.

Re: Does the Dragon support the "extended" VDP?
I think the new version of the 6847 would have required a new board layout. I believe it had a built in latch to capture data on the input lines instead of an external one.

Re: Dragon survey, what to ask for?
The January 1984 issue of Color Computer Magazine has a pretty good picture of the Tano Dragon insides. It's probably just a Dragon 64 clocked for NTSC. I like the board layout better than the CoCo. Too bad they didn't socket the RAM, 6847 or PIAs. I forgot, driving PAL with a 6847 requires some ex...
