Hi, Pere.
It's nice to see it progressing. I hope you manage to finish it and we get lots of games!

Re: Anyone interested in converting AGD to the Dragon/CoCo?
The sprites take a lot of space because for every sprite, 4 images are stored which are all preshifted images of the previous image by 2 pixels. I see. That might be optimisable or, maybe, use 128x96 4 colour mode to save a few K. On the Atom I have 34KB free and I must say that 90% of the games fi...

Re: Anyone interested in converting AGD to the Dragon/CoCo?
I had a quick look at the Z80 code, using "apulia" (Apulija-13). Excluding data, there's 5,805 bytes of engine code and 2,378 bytes of game-generated code. Total output: ~32K, which appears to exclude the screen memory, some upper memory buffers and the ROM call to read the keys. Clearly, this game ...

Re: Anyone interested in converting AGD to the Dragon/CoCo?
It's amazing how many more AGD games have been developed since I started this thread! Some of them would be great to have on the Dragon/CoCo.

Re: ZX Spectrum Next (Kickstarter)
Rick Dickinson has done an outstanding job on the Spectrum Next case design. What's inside it though? Is it an FPGA? Also I gather they've added new graphics modes etc.? It's an FPGA - "a bit bigger than the Uno's". It's a bit hard to keep track of the specs, but here's a reasonably up-to-date link...

Hi, Pere.
Nice work! It's always good to see a new production on the Dragon.

Re: Dunjunz - with source!
The new easy mode is very welcome indeed! The key colours, especially, make exploring much easier. I've now made it to level 6! I haven't had a chance to try it on real hardware yet, I will do so in the next few days. In the meantime, I would point out that the main colour of a baddy is different if...

Re: Display issue
This is a bit of a long shot, but I once tried to drive a CoCo using a PSU with a lower voltage, which resulted in the screen output being pretty weak (also, it couldn't operate the tape motor).
Perhaps the PSU output voltages should be checked?

Re: Dunjunz beta1
I've tested it on a real CoCo 2 (PAL) and, wow, is this game hard! I've made it to level 4 now. Using a non-self-centring joystick is mega-tough. Diagonals are very awkward, you spend a lot of time stuck against the wall while trying to move the joystick to a useful position. You can't fire while "s...

Re: Dunjunz beta1
I'm impressed, it's a good conversion with nice presentation! It's quite fast. I find it quite hard to play, as a single player game, but that is to be expected. I shall try copying it onto my MicroSD Drive Pak and then try to run it on my CoCo 2 with various joysticks (if the loader is compatible w...
