Re: Japanese Arcade Joystick Adapter

Interesting idea Rink, about supporting extra buttons. A standard single button would be all I require but others may want more. :) I need at least two. :D I've thought about this in the past, but its never been worth doing because nothing would support the control scheme other than the stuff I'd (...

Re: Japanese Arcade Joystick Adapter

Hmm... Been a while since I looked at cabinet joysticks and buttons, but I'd bet this could be done very easily. What'd make this even more fun, would be to agree on a WoD standard where extra buttons are mapped to the second controller port and everyone uses the same control mapping in their progra...

Re: Vintage Computer Festival, Zurich, 19-20 November

Looks cool! Doubt I'll be able to attend but the BBS stuff in particular really got my attention. I started on those, and loved them. This crappy Internet thing we're stuck with now isn't a patch on a good BBS.

Re: XRoar, GDB

Sorry for necro'ing this, but I thought I'd be better asking my question in a XRoar+GDB thread rather than create a new one. I was just wondering if its possible to see the raster scan position from Xroar in GDB? I'd normally use MESS's (+ QMC2) debugger for this, but it'd be handy if I could it fro...

Re: Quick question (6809 assembly)

Brilliant, thanks Sixxie.

That's what I was looking for - I didn't realise D was a register pair so didn't think to check whether TFR X,D was a valid instruction. I can live with trashing A, that's not a problem.

Quick question (6809 assembly)

Apologies for asking this - it feels a little bit like I'm cluttering up the board - but being more of a Z80 man, I'm having a bit of a problem working out how to do this. On the 6809, what's the easiest way to compare the low 8 bits of the x register (i.e. the address itself, not the contents of me...

Re: I noticed this item has the Dragon logo on it

Cheers mate. If you can help me get hold of one, one day, then I'd be incredibly grateful.

My 200 is my pride and joy, and now I feel like there's something missing. To be honest, I'd always assumed those branded recorders were unicorns and never existed out in the real world.

Re: I noticed this item has the Dragon logo on it

That's - I'm pretty certain - the tape recorder manufactured for sale with the Dragon 200! I want one! HOW DO I GET ONE?!?!?! :D

Anyways... you can see it on this ad for the 200 from the archive:

Re: EEPROM Programmers

Looks good to me, mate. Thank you very much. Ordered one. Not worried about the price - if I start thinking along those lines then I'll never get anything done. That's how I ended up with the horrible mess of wires I have now (and a very slow programming sequence that involves unplugging cables and ...

EEPROM Programmers

Hi all, I've been gone for a while (sorry about that), but am back and fairly determined to finish some of the projects I had planned. I'm getting a sense of deja vu, so I've probably been through this before. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a proper EEPROM prrogrammer? See...
