Found the offer from http://www.cadigital.com/computer.htm

Is the offer still valid?

Does anyone experiences about shipping to germany? What about tax and customs duty?

California Digital has reply to my mail.
California Digital still has a significant
number of Tano Dragon 64 computers
available in its warehouse.
But:
Shipping cost to the UK and most
of Europe is about $90 each.

$49 for the Dragon and $90 for shipping

They say a package weights 19 pounds (= 8.6 kg), so shipping is expensive.

Maybe i must pay at least 19% tax, too.

Well, it could be worse, if you ask for shipping to Mexico, it will go as high as $190. Don't ask why...

In the end it was better to send it directly to Spain.

So, yes. It will cost you from 100 to 120€, BUT, you'll get a brand new, unopened Dragon machine, which is worth it.

$150 for a brand new Dragon is a bargain. I paid closed to $700 back in the 1980s :-) (Yes, I also have a brand new Tano Dragon and don't regret ordering it :-))

I recently had a Tano Dragon from CA Digital delivered to Australia. At first they would not sell it to me saying delivery was too expensive at $200 at least. Using a forwarding service, Comgateway, cost significantly less - I think $120 or so. Postage is calculated on the ratio of weight to volume - unfortunately the Dragon box is quite large although relatively light. CA Digital can give you the weight and dimensions. They charged me $20 to have the box shipped to a forwarding address in Oregon, USA. I was able to track the UPS van online as it went up the West coast. You can combine international delivery with other items from US-only stores because Comgateway will hold your goods for a while. Delivery took less than a week. Yes, it seems extravagent but opening the box was quite special.
BTW - there was no tax or import duty to pay, at least here in Aus.

Actually this can't be true, isn't it?

when you open it smell the fresh air back from 1983! It's a trip :)

It worth all the money paid on it. The dragon keyboard is absolutely wonderful to type in.

Import duty is *NOT* levied on computers, computer components, mobile telephones (and some other goods) to many EU countries from non-EU countries, only VAT of approx 20 Euros payable for $135 of goods to Germany.
