Dragon 32, peripherals, software, books, magazines.

A forum for members to offer for sale any Dragon related items to other members. DO NOT POST LINKS TO AUCTIONS. I will use this forum in the future to offer all my spare games to members of this site before they go on e-bay.

Dragon 32, peripherals, software, books, magazines.

Post by axolotl »

Dragon 32 computer (stored carefully since children moved on to Acorn, PC etc) plus peripherals (eg joysticks, mini-printer), cables, plugs, etc. Also tutorial tapes, games (lots and lots) and applications. Also numerous Dragon Basic and machine code programming manuals. Also bound volumes of Dragon User magazines. All this for free (well, £1 nominal charge) in its entirety. Recipient to collect from Reading area (RG30 address). Genuine enthusiast preferred, as this was a much-loved family activity.

I cannot collect it because I don't live in the UK, but I'd like to ask if you would send me one joystick as I have a hard time finding one for my D64.

Best regards!

That wouldn't be a problem, as I want these things to find a good home, but I'd like to hold back for a while to see what the collective response is. I've not tried this sort of forum before, so I've no idea how long it takes to happen, especially in a specialist area like this.

Best regards.

Hi,

I'm very interested on this system but I'm not from UK. I'll pay the shipping costs (if reasonable) if you could send them to me.

By the way, I know robcfg (he lives in the same country than me), then I'd send him the joystick ;-)

Regards

Talking about a nice place for the Dragon to go, Calpirro's place would be it!

I'll have no problem if you send the whole Dragon to him. And as I said, he's a really nice guy.

By the way, Welcome to the forum!

Thank you both for your messages, and I'm happy to do as much as I can on behalf of you both - first of all by looking into the up-front cost per kilogram of sending stuff to Madrid by surface mail. I can also give you some idea of the weights of the various categories of Dragon stuff in question, so that the actual costs of postage can be established. Can you suggest an order of prioritisation ? For example, you presumably already have Dragon 32 or 64 computers, so you may not want another (and also, of course, it is by far the most fragile item to pack).

Another point - do we switch to private emails at some point in order to avoid the wrath of the forum administrator ?!

Best regards.

There will be no wrath here - its a very friendly place.

If there is anything left over, then may I suggest a donation to the Retro Computer Museum who are based in Leicestershire, UK. They not only act to preserve the older machines, but also hold open days at least twice a year where systems such as the Dragon sit alongside the common machines of the day (Sinclair, Commodore) and some of the more elusive (Sord, Tatung, Memotech) - All hands on for visitors to play with.

Hi,

I own a Dragon 32, I'm mainly interested on all the other things but if for you it's easier to put everything in one parcel for me it's ok.

If you want to contact me, my email is my forum nickname at gmail.com.

Regards,

A.

Hi. I am desperately looking for Dragon TEXT BOOKS (or downloadable copies thereof).
Especially ADVANCED GRAPHICS & SOUND.
Can anyone assist? Send me your list of books.
I will compile my list of books and magazines during this weekend. Then someone needs to explain how I can publish these on this site.
I already downloaded INSIDE THE DRAGON and DRAGON MACHINE LANGUAGE FOR THE ABSOLUTE BEGINNER.
