Problems with logging in to Wiki.
I can't log into the Wiki, I keep getting an error message saying my username is invalid. I have made sure I joined the Wiki User Group on the forum, but I still can't seem to access it. I wanted to started posting a few articles to the Wiki on some of the games that don't have an entry yet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Gareth.

I changed my password, but I still can't log in to the Wiki. I still get an error message saying my username is not valid. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Re: Problems with logging in to Wiki.
I really think that only Simon or Rolf could help you here.
I've checked my settings, and I do not belog to the wiki group, but I can edit the wiki, so permission must be given by an administrator.
On the other hand, seems that something is not working with the permissions...

Re: Problems with logging in to Wiki.
Gareth,
You seem to have done everything right, but I suspect a compatibility issue between the forums and the wiki similar to the password problem that Rob refers to. Your account has not been mirrored to the wiki at all. I created a simple test account that was mirrored instantly, but my test account named Rolf_O'Testmaniac did not mirror. I suspect that it is the length of your account name that causes the problems as I managed to get the test account o'rolf to work without problems.
I suggest creating a new account and use that for the wiki. You can continue using your old account in the forums. If you follow this approach, post a brief reply to this thread using your new account as I periodically clean up unused and spammish accounts from the user database. Have one recorded post will save you from the purge...
It is possible to rename forum accounts, but it does not seem to be a viable approach to solving your problem. My test account did not mirror to the wiki even after being renamed.
And to Rob: You actually are a member of the wiki group, too.

Re: Problems with logging in to Wiki.
Hi Rolf,
I have created this account to use on the wiki and it works fine. I will use my other account for the forum, so there won't be any other posts from this one.
Thank you so much for your help; I really appreciate it.
Gareth.

Re: Problems with logging in to Wiki.
Thanks Rolf!
The funny thing is that, when I look in my profile into the usergroups, the wiki group is not selected, thus the confusion...
Anyway, for me it's working ok, and I'm uploading some more games to the wiki, hehe!
Best regards,
Rob
