Never seen before model of Dragon64?

Hi everyone,

I am not familiar with these computers and did some reading on the model that I have.
Would like to to verify this model and have questions regarding the model I have.

Starting to feel I may own a never seen before/documented model. Apparently a yellow sticker signifies that it should be a model produced in Spain. However it has a yellow sticker, says made in Great Britain and also has the Scandinavian Ø sign on the keyboard. I am a bit afraid of opening it up to check for more info. Have purchased this unit in Finland from a deceased person, probably worked for an IT company from what I know.

1) I would like to know more about this model, e.g. does it belong in a museum and should i contact a museum, maybe in Denmark/Norway?.
2) What is it worth, I cannot test the unit and just booting it would be a project on its own, what is worth mentioning here that the unit is in pristine condition, no scratches, keyboard seems to be fine and unused.

Hi, and welcome to the Dragon Archive!

The only special thing I see is that is a low serial number and that it has the black label instead of the gray one.

Regarding the Scandinavian Ø sign, it is in reality the number zero, which back in the day had the bar crossing it to differentiate it from the letter O.

You can take a look at the list of serial numbers we know here: https://archive.worldofdragon.org/index ... al_Numbers

It would be very interesting to see which revision of the motherboard your Dragon has, but you'd need to open it.

If you don't want to damage the red seals on the bottom side, soak them in lighter fluid, remove them gently and after they've dried, you can put them back again.

I'd appreciate taking pictures of both boards, both sides of them, as we also catalog them.

You can see our main motherboard scans here: https://archive.worldofdragon.org/index ... d_Pictures
And the power boards scans here: https://archive.worldofdragon.org/index ... U_Pictures

Best regards,
Rob

Welcome DragonChaser.

Thanks to an overbearing law implemented by the British government last year, images hosted at Imgur cannot be seen by those of us living in the U.K. (unless a VPN is used). Would you mind uploading the photographs directly to a post of yours on this forum?

DragonChaser, you should be able to upload photos directly to the board. Either click on the "Attachments" tab and then on the "Add files" button, or just drag and drop the picture file in the message box.

As for the posting errors, they seem to be random but as far as I know all posts get through so there is no need to re-post. Refresh the page if you see a blank page and if you see that your post did get posted just close the tab without clicking on the submit button.
