OK guys, this time i actually shifted alternate lines in SG by 1/2 a char....

here are some results so far

Nice effect!

Can it be used in sg24 mode? I imagine that it would yield a 64x96 mode with lots of nice colors...

Does it work by setting the 6847 to a certain configuration, or is the shift achieved by setting port values at the end of each scanline?

Edit:A similar effect can be seen in Tetris.

Hey Rob

it works in ANY SG MODE (and hires etc etc)

it's actually mismatched timing on mode switches so instead of 57 cycles per line, do something like 59, the computer will even out the differences for you.....
