Tano Dragon 64 NTSC to PAL ?

My Tano Dragon arrived. But it's DOA :(

I heard a clatter. So i open the case and the clatter comes from the Tano Dragon. So i open it.
The 4700µF 16V capacitor had come loose. See pictures. I will solder it him again.

IMHO was the problem, that there was no fill material in the transport box. The nice origin covering box was able to move back and forth in the transport box. So the cover is scratched :(

Then i have the idea: Can i simply swap the complete mains supply circuit with a Dragon 32 PAL version to get a Tano PAL variant?

Nope, the motherboard is different. PAL boards contain circuitry to insert the extra lines, and flip one of the chroma signals on alternating lines.

Shame it arrived broken btw - hopefully your soldering mission fixes it!

Great!

Can you tell me the board revision number? Only to check that we have already documented it

On Cocos the big capacitors are all glued to avoid this.

Great to hear that you have fixed that.

Nope you can't swap the power boards, as the connecting cable between the power board and the Tano mainboard is wired slightly differently.

If you made an adapter cable it might be possible, I did this with a spare tano board I had so I could use it in a spare 32 case, but from what I remember I was only using the monitor output, but like others have said it was still NTSC.

Cheers.
