I have checked the PSU (see: http://www.grempc.demon.co.uk/dragon/info/psu.html )
-5V, +5V and +12V are on the mainboard from the Power Regulator Board...

The characters doesn't changed. They also doesn't changed if i push the reset button.
I get only a changed screen if i power off/on.

Get no beep.

The chips are relative cold. Except the 6809 Chip. It gets hot. I can touch the chip. But its getting to be uncomfortable

Have you tried swapping the SAM (MC6883P/SN74LS783N) chip?

You could try typing the Dragon's beep command or ...

That would be SOUND x,y or PLAY "z". Try SOUND 100,100 or PLAY"CDEFGAB".

Hmm... that might be a bad sign.

I suppose if you have another ROM sitting around then you could try it. But if it was me, I'd really want to verify that the CPU is actually ok before spending much time replacing other chips.

Its more likely to be the SAM chip at fault.

The "Hantek" digital oscilloscopes are relatively cheap and quite usable. Check out OpenHantek for free software to talk to them. I have the lowest-end one, the DSO2090 and it seems fine for most things Dragon.

Oh wow, USB oscilloscopes with OpenSource Software! Great!

But i can't find a list of supported devices by OpenHantek.

Can someone give me tips for the Hantek oscilloscopes?
Is the Hantek 6022BE useable?

EDIT: Found a thread: http://openhantek.org/forum/topic/1/13/ so it seems that is will not be worked out-of-the-box with OpenHantek

200kHz is really low. I dunno, I'm not sure it would help you much with the parts that are most likely to fail.

Also only having one channel might prove slightly annoying - being able to clock off one signal (e.g., FS or HS) and watch another is often really useful.

All IMHO of course. If it were being offered up for a pint I'd still go for it
