very interesting how it plays a short Audio sample before loading the screen data.

is it possible the Audio could be stored as RAW data in the CAS format?

i did manage to create a CAS edit with the audio sample removed.
just because i wanted to have a working CAS version for my frontend. ;)

It's impossible in CAS files as they stand.

In theory, raw audio could be added to the CAS-CUE spec, but at that point why not just keep it as a WAV? The audio data would still make the file massive...

The advantage would be to be able to accelerate the loading of the data blocks and play the audio parts at the right speed.

Size-wise the files could be smaller but still in the wav file range.
