Fantasy Fight - Cable software.

Post by prime »

This is a dump of Fantasy Fight sampled direct from my original tape.

This can replace the copy in the archive which is incomplete & possibly hacked.

Raw WAV and converted CAS file included in the zipfile.

That would be weird, I dumped that from my original tape too.

I've checked your copy and is identical to mine but for two 0x55 bytes at the end of it.

I'll be fixing the link in the Fantasy Fight page though.

Ahh then maybe the copy I had from the archive was from before that, it essentially just had the last file from the cas, but not the loader or loading screen. Anyway if yours and my dump are identical, does confirm we probably have a good dump :)

Cheers.

This encouraged me to dig mine out and load it up for the first time in years. The game is stupidly hard, I had forgotten hpw dificult it was. I recall enjoying it when cheating all those years ago. Incidentally, my version must be late, as despite the correct Cable packaging on the outside, the cassette has a rebrand to "Computape", which I had erased from my memory.
Does anyone know if Computape or someone re did the packaging to Zak's son too, as I have two versions- both say Cable on the cassette, but one has a hand drawn comic picture with a different description of the game?
