Re: Flagon Bird

Just wanted to add my voice of appreciation for this effort. For some reason I could not get the original version to transfer properly, so I have only just got round to playing this today. Wonderful stuff. I can really imagine paying Microdeal £8 for this back in the day and being well pleased for once.....it just goes to show how great the old beast can be.
I am planning a games day with a couple of mates, one of whom is a former Dragon owner. Needless to say, I am really lookingforward to showing them this...
Thanks again.

@drmarkb: Glad you like it and thanks for the feedback! :D

Just got back off hols and noticed Flagon Bird has been ported to the TRS-80 MC-10.

There's also a clone for the Acorn Atom.

Today I spotted an article from Micro Mart July 10th giving Flagon Bird a little mention.

Also I noticed on Bitly I'd had a download from French Polynesia. There are literally Dragon/CoCo enthusiasts all over the world! :)

It's great to see the Dragon homebrew scene starting to take off again. This game is a killer example of what can be achieved within the limited (by modern standards) confines of the Dragon 32/64. Well done, Bosco.
My seven year old son played it last night on xroar and he thought it was "cool". You don't get better than that!!

Well this forum made it possible in my case. People are incredibly supportive here and generous with their knowledge too [group hug]. :D

Glad your young son is learning to appreciate the Dragon. My six year old daughter was chief `helper' on FB. Had to draw the line at adding unicorns though.

Joking aside, it's been a very positive experience and I'm already kicking around ideas for project #2.

BTW. If you're running FB in XRoar on a 60Hz display choose one of the NTSC emulations for smoother scrolling.
