Dragon Doftware Nº14 (G.T.S. Editores)

Post by pser1 »

Hello,
I got this tape, that seems to be the only one that has no software attached.
I have recorded both sides on Audacity. These are the files for each program ... in WAV format
Most of them are multi part, usually a Basic program is first loaded, this one loads an intro screen
and them some files are loaded to build the whole program.

Is there any tool to convert these multi-part WAV files to CAS?

cheers

I'd use XRoar (of course ;) ):

Code: Select all

xroar -tape-rewrite -tape-write 14A-02-CAZA.cas -load 14A-02-CAZA.wav
Then type SKIPF several times...

Hi Ciaran,
Thanks for this advice!
I have used XRoar to convert a huge amount of score cas files for Orchestra to wav files using XRoar,
I thought that the other way round worked *only* for WAVes that had just one bunch of data
I will try this trick immediately

@Roberto Carlos,
I have tried out the individual programs from this tape and have found problems with the one named EDIT (side A)
It seems that it needs a CLOADM but then an I/O ERROR occurs :-(
Maybe you could give it a peek with your 'wav' tools to try to 'recover' the faulty block(s) ...
When I have converted them to CAS, the CRIME.WAV that contains 4 programs, produces an I/O ERROR too on the third SKIPF
and the result doesn't work. But the WAV can be used and the program starts correctly.
cheers
