Dragon lab-cartridge plugged into Vectrex
Look, my little experiment with the Dragon Lab-Cart and my Vectrex.
Almost same connector, just 36 pins instead of 40. The cartridge shaft is a bit narrower and I had to cut off the corners.
It's just a simple cartridge holding two 2732 eproms for 4k and 8k games/demos/own experiments. I have a few ancient SGS 2732A NMOS eproms lying around, which I'm using.
Unfortunately a spring of the second ZIF-socket broke and I had to replace it (with a normal socket, since I did not have another one in the drawer).
I'm doing some funny tricks with Mine Storm and I am getting tremendous scores now

Another Dragon lab-cartridge experiment
Look, I show you another experiment with my Dragon Lab-Cart.
I built a new multicart for the VECTREX based on my Dragon Lab-Cart. It is capable of holding 27C128 (16 kbytes), 27C256 (32 kbytes) or 27C512 (64 kbytes) eproms.
The two blue jumpers are used to adapt the board to the eprom type.
Two switches put the cartridge into 8k, 16k or 32k banksize-mode. Most of the original games are using 8k. Homebrew games and demos often need 16k or even 32k, which is the maximum cartridge address range of the VECTREX. For example, a 2€ 27C512-eprom-chip can store two 32k-games, four 16k-games or eight 8k-games. The game is selected by turning the gray knob.
Cool , I can check the latest demos now . The zero injection force socket makes it easy to change eproms. One cartridge and a box of eproms is enough . I'm really looking forward to check what's out there, concerning new software...
Additionally I put a speed brake onto the cartridge, which can be activated with the help of a 3rd switch, and which can be adjusted by turning a little wheel. It's simply a multivibrator pulsing the !HALT-signal.
I had to cut the board and reduce it's dimensions a bit.
I built the whole thing nicely into a modified Activision-shell of a dead Atari VCS cartridge. Ok, to make it fitting, that was quite some work to do That's what it looks like plugged into the VECTREX: Regards,
Rolo
Another lab-cart experiment
Building a prototype
Won't have any time for that the next two weeks, what a pity
Many wires, the soldering is done. But still no software onboard. Ready for development and some measurements .Won't have any time for that the next two weeks, what a pity
