For those of you that don't Facebook, here's the current plans:

So, time for a little logistics. The Centre for Computing History, for those that haven't been before, is tucked behind an industrial estate at the wrong end of Cambridge. Don't worry, you're not lost, believe your GPS and you will find it. There's plenty of free parking. Admission is £8 and you'll have access to the whole Museum, not just the Meetup.

The Centre opens at 10am, but I hope to get someone there for 9am to get the place open so we can set up. I might not be there on the dot of 9am, as I'll be picking some people up at the station, but the volunteers will know all about it and can show you where to set up.

We need to finish by 4.30pm, as they need the room for an evening event, but we don't need to go immediately. I'll arrange some 'behind the scenes' tours of the Centre, including the archive and the Warehouse of Awesome Computers.

The Centre will supply plenty of power points and we should have plenty of composite monitors available too. I've got a small pile of spare Dragons put aside for those that can't bring theirs or have machines turn temperamental on the day.

There will definitely be beer afterwards on the Saturday. I suggest the Station Tavern by Cambridge station. It's not the best (or cheapest) pub in Cambridge, but it's easy to find, there's plenty of parking (not easy in Cambridge) and it's unlikely to be as packed as the student or tourist pubs in the city centre. It also does food. If anyone is around on the Friday, let me know.

Have I forgotten anything?

Thanks for the info Tony and I'll second sixxie's sentiment.

This year's gathering is shaping up to be a great event. :D

Traffic was a bit of a mare this year but it was great catching up with everyone.

Very happy with my signed copies of `Inside the Dragon' and `Dunjunz' - apologies sixxie, I did kind of put you on the spot.

Must try and make the post-meetup drink next time. :)

I had a very enjoyable time catching up and getting hands on with everyone's demos. Highlights among many included having a drink with the author of 'Inside the Dragon', plus surprise gifts too... cheers sixxie :D btw I laughed out loud when I translated the caption!

Many thanks to Tony for his heroic efforts in making all this happen!

Hopefully next time I won't disgrace myself by incorrectly matching faces to names! Cringe

I just arrived home and I can only say that I enjoyed a lot this meeting.

Meeting Duncan was incredible and that we managed to get all Dragon models there is just awesome!

Thank you very much!

@sixxie - I thought there might be some Welsh `monkey' business going on.

I think that was a success! :) I'm always very happy to organise these events, they're such fun. As ever, my only regret is not getting round to see everyone's demos and have a chat - the time just goes so ridiculously quickly. I'm so glad Duncan turned up this year - let's see if we can get more Dragon people next year!

@sixxie - I didn't even get a chance to ask if the eeprom worked?

@sorchard - don't worry, I did that too, I got a couple people completely muddled up. I'm waiting for the group photo, hoping between us we can tag everyone, because I had long conversations with a couple people who seemed to know me really well, and I'm thinking it's getting far too late to ask who they are ... and I wish I knew!

@bosco - yes, you must come to the pub! Apologies, I didn't really get a chance to talk to either you or Stewart this year - please don't take it personally! Next year I'm just going to bring a single Dragon and actually get to talk to talk to everyone else (ha, as if ...)

Cheers all, Tony
