Hi all,
Just to let everyone know that I'm almost at the end of the first run of DragonMMC boards. So once I have exhausted them I will be unable to take any more orders for the short term whilst I get some more boards / components / decide how I want to proceed from this point onwards.
Just to reasure people I have enough boards for anyone that has already contacted me via the DragonMMC email address so you will hopefully get your boards in the near future, I currently have 8 on the to build list.
I'll let everyone know once I have decided how I am going to proceed from this point onwards.
Cheers.
Phill.

Re: DragonMMC Update.
Hi Phill,
Any news regarding the 360 and 720 KB disk support?
I'd like to show The Hobbit running on the DragonMMC at the RetroMadrid 2018 event, but as it's on a 360KB disk image, it won't work.
Please tell us if there's anything we can do to help.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: DragonMMC Update.
Hi Roberto Carlos,
I have been searching among the Shark/Tiburón files, but the same problem.
As they have a lot of screens, the disks are 360K for these games, sorry
By the way, Phill
When I got my MMC, I did a lot of tests and then I began to use it to load/save
files to virtual VDK files (180k)
I found that deleting a file and then saving it with the same name, after some
Basic modifications, then resetting the computer, that file was *not* in the disk
the next time I tried to load it ...
I know that some of the DOS versions we have for the Dragon still have some
problems related to losing files/sectors when used continuously for developping
tasks.
cheers

Re: DragonMMC Update.
Might not be useful - and is only a workaround anyway - but I seem to remember with SuperDOS, periodic use of the CLOSE command ensured things were flushed to disk. It also helped avoid spurious "?NE ERROR"s.

You are right, Ciaran!sixxie wrote:Might not be useful - and is only a workaround anyway - but I seem to remember with SuperDOS, periodic use of the CLOSE command ensured things were flushed to disk. It also helped avoid spurious "?NE ERROR"s.
In fact I issue a CLOSE every time I do a SAVE, even when I do a CSAVEM ... it is an automatic tic
The CoCo didn't suffer this kind of loss IIRC
