Prologica CP400

Hi all,
I recently came by a Prologica CP400 - a Brazilian Coco clone that hopefully you'll consider is a close enough relative to be mentioned here!
Typical of my usual luck, she doesn't quite work. You turn it on and get the welcome message (Colour Basic V1.0 Prologica 1984) and it will work for a couple minutes before the relay goes click again and it locks up, immune to reset and break (although nothing changes on the screen). My suspicion is just dodgy memory that happens to cause this glitch, rather than any other - but I'm bringing it up in case anyone's seen this happen before and maybe it's a specific problem.
