Can anyone recommend a good replacement psu for the Dragon32? or failing that a toroidal transformer of the correct rating that will fit into the psu case?

Cheers

I can't help with a suitable replacement, but I do have some pictures of the oblong power brick.

Thanks, first time I see the inside of a Dragon power brick! So was there a fuse in there? That question came up in another thread.

Yes, cheers for the photos.

That looks very much like a thermal fuse on the primary winding in the last photo.

Thanks, that sates half of my curiosity - there still remains the square power brick.

My curiosity has been raised about the square brick as well.....hmmm I do have a dead square brick in the loft somewhere  . I'm sure my curiosity will only grow.

Thank's Norris, much clearer pictures than the ones I took.

So, it appears that the only real difference is the case design. I haven't opened up my dead brick yet, or even found it, but I will open it to see if it is repairable, if I notice any differences to this one then I will of course post my findings.

Taken with my Nokia windows phone(lumina 930) but needs resizing however if you save it image you will see it at a normal size.
Trying to get it repaired.
