Dragon Data immortalised in song

Post by stuttgarterstrasse »

Hi,

I thought you might like to know that I have written a song all about the Dragon Data Ltd story (there's even a namecheck for the Dragon Archive). You can listen and read the lyrics at http://soundcloud.com/stuttgarter-stras ... -a/s-rDjut. It'll also be available to buy online from the middle of next month (as part of a 4-track EP). Thanks for tolerating my plug and keep up the good work. I was more of a Spectrum (16k plus 32K Cheetah RAM Pack) man back in the day, but I always thought it was great that there was a Welsh computer on the market.

Cheers,
Justin (aka Stuttgarter Strasse)

Not my kind of music, but cool idea. I'd be interested to know how you put it together - what software/instruments etc.

It was mostly done on a Mac running Ableton Live (8). The drums are Roland 808 and the keyboard is an ARP Odyssey emulator. The vocals were made using the Mac's inbuilt text-to-voice feature and with a shareware program called Vocal Writer.
