'Peaksoft' and 'Words and Pictures'

If I may address a question to a new board member...
I had a copy of Death's Head Hole which was produced by Words and Pictures but unfortunately it failed to load and so it was sent back. The replacement copy, and thanks for the prompt and commendable service, stated Peaksoft on the now rather more impressive inlay. So my question is, what is (or was) the relationship between Peaksoft and Words and Pictures? If it was a simple name change why the change in name?
