6809 CPU in Dragons.

Hi all

I have a question for those of you that have had the tops off your machines......

Was the 6809E socketed, it is for all the machines that I have ever seen, is it safe to assume that this is almost universally true ?

For those of you with CoCos are they socketed too ?

As far as I remember, all Dragons I've seen opened had its 6809 socketed.

A quick look in our Motherboard Pictures section, also shows no Dragon without its socketed 6809.

I have a CoCo 2 in which it is not socketed.

Edit: just opened up the CoCo 3, and it's not socketed in that either.
