No, I have no idea about this issue. So the mere presence of this file (i.e. an empty one) causes this?

The first time I tried was with "ram 64", didnt work, I removed the line, still didnt worked, then MVoed the file to .bak, got the emulator back.
recreated the file but empty with "touch xroar.conf", same behavior.. screen flashing... as a side note, the virtual controls and buttons overlay is visible as usual.
