Vintage Computer Festival @ Bletchley Park

The Dragon Archive has not exhibited since CGEUK 2005 in Croydon and WILL be at the VCF @ Bletchley Park with the usual suspects plus a Dragon 200 and a Dragon Professional (Project Alpha) - Come and visit, drop by and say hello.

All,

My attendance and VCF @ Bletchely is now confirmed and I have begun to test all the kit I am going to exhibit. I want to put on a number of Dragons for hands-on game playing - but which games should I offer?

They have to be good, show the dragon in its best light and be games that are easy to pick up and just play as you walk by..... any suggestions?

On my list already:
Chuckie Egg
The King/Donkey King

When we have a list of games, Ill see if I can put them into the multicart, as it can be used to load both cart and cassette games providing I can get un-protected cas files of them, and will be quicker than loading from tape....

Cheers.

Phill.

That will be great ... The list so far is:

Chuckie Egg
The King
Manic Miner
Jet Set Willy
Skramble
(Talking) Android Attack
Rommel's Revenge
Buzzard Bait
Astroblast
Moon Cresta
BackTrack
Glove
Avenger (I think - need to check - its a Semi-Graphics mode defender clone)

There must be more really great games worth making available.... If the list gets too big, editors choice will be final :D

These aren't so much game suggestions, but rather genre suggestions. From the list I see that currently it is mostly platformers and shoot-em-ups, perhaps a few two player sporting or fighting games, and maybe a few gentle puzzle games should be included - if only I could think of some good examples.

From a hardware point of view I see that Phill is tackling the loading time issue, but of equal importance, make sure you take decent joysticks.

Finally, to show off. Load OS-9 onto a 64 and multitask a few programs. Then put a sign above it that states, 'Here's something the iPad can't do.'
