Apart from e-bay...

An old "Walkman" somewhere?
An all in one Stereo with tape deck?

ebay? Or you could try a price comparison service such as "Google Shopping" http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=cass ... &scoring=p (note that this is a cassette recorder search). You will need to do further research on whatever you find to see if any are suitable, though I would avoid the "Chicco Sing Play and record cassette recorder & microphone" found at http://www.cheapelectricals.co.uk/acata ... k_now.html
