Greetings fellow Dragonauts!

Hi everyone,
I've been a fan of the Dragon 32, since my dad bought one for the family back in 1983, when I was a young whipper-snapper aged 10. Fast forward nearly 30 year's later, and here I am posting for the first time on a Dragon 32 discussion forum :D

Anyway, I have been using XRoar for a couple of months, and it is a fantastic piece of software (kudos to all those involved) and I am having great fun playing games that I remember from my childhood.

I have to say, the Retrocomputing bug seems to have bit me, and I have just ordered a Dragon 32 on eBay, which should be arriving this week. I can't wait to hook it up to a small portable television and get the OK prompt.

I was actually surprised at the amount of interest still out there for the Dragon, and there seems to be lots of tapes, books and other bits of hardware for sale, not forgetting this forum and the World of Dragon website (which is fab).

I wonder if there are any other Irish Dragon fans on the forum, or am I the only "green Dragon"? ;)

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here a bit better and learning and sharing.

So, hello fellow Dragonauts!

Gareth.

Hi Gareth, and welcome to the forum! I'm not from Ireland, but I'm sure you can't be alone.

I know what it's like when the retrobug hits, and be aware, it's quite addictive. And yes, this is quite a busy forum - it continually surprises me how new things continue to happen, even after 30 years. In recent times we've gained full compatibility with the Coco (and hence such wonders as Drivewire, and the possibility of connecting your Dragon to the internet!), and discovered a community of Brazilians brought up on near compatible clones, with a whole world of experiences of their own. Welcome! Let us know when you get your Dragon.

Cheers.

Tony.

 That sounds amazing. I must say, the thought of trying to connect my Dragon to the internet did cross my mind. Time to Google "Drivewire"!

Damn, man, just DAMN. Ten months ago, I had no computers made in a century other than this one, just a dormant nostalgia of times gone by. Then I stumbled upon an MSX computer in good working condition.

I won't even tell you what I have NOW. Ask zephyr and Dantyr, they know.
