I had a situation with an old program of mine which worked on 32-bit Win 7, but didn't work on 64-bit Win 7. It turned out to be down to me using a DirectInput interface earlier than V8.

There is a list of deprecated libraries somewhere, but I can't find it for the life of me... So, in short, you may be using something, somewhere which has been sneakily deprecated.

Then we know that XRoar works on Win8-64-bit in general, but it probably depends on the graphics card and supported drivers. Rolf: could you show the details of your graphics card (dxdiag)? Mine are:

Name: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
Main Driver: igdumd64.dll, igdumd32
Version: 8.15.10.2697
Date: 26.07.2012
Driver Model: WDDM 1.0

Driver Model: WDDM 1.2

Attached are my screenshots from the OpenGL Extension Viewer 4.05 downloaded from: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Programmin ... ewer.shtml

If my screenshots are compared to a working system, maybe it will be possible to pinpoint the problem? OpenGL Extension Viewer is also available for Mac.

I went through all the gl-function calls in xroar's source code vo_opengl.c, but as far as I could see they are all supported by OpenGL version 1.1.

Sorry for taking so long to follow up on this. Here's information from another laptop that is able to run 64-bit xroar. This is a Dell Latitude E6430. I tested with xroar 0.29.4-w64. Output from dxdiag:

Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130306-1502)
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Driver Name: igdumd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igdumd32,igd10umd32,igd10umd32
Driver File Version: 9.17.0010.2849 (English)
Feature Levels: 11.0,10.1,10.0,9.3,9.2,9.1
Driver Model: WDDM 1.2
Driver Date/Size: 9/30/2012 20:52:22, 12602368 bytes

I have attached the text part of the report from OpenGL Extensions Viewer. As you can see, there are some big differences between our OpenGL level of support with this computer supporting all features up to 4.0.

I've also been remiss, looking at the series of screen captures, one thing does stand out:

Max texture image units: 0

That implies it can't do texture rendering at all to me! A TIU is required for mapping texture data to a surface (I thought). Kinda wonder if anything else (using OpenGL) works beyond simple polygons...

Hello Sixxie,
I know that there is no support (by now) for the CoCo printer as it is a seriel one.
But, is there any possibility on the Dragon64 Emulation to use a virtual serial output to another emulated Dragon or to the host PC?
It would be nice to be able to test/use this communications on XRoar!
best regards
